Borea is a family-owned joint venture between Pomerleau, one of Canada’s premier construction firms, and Blattner Energy, the largest contractor specializing in renewable energy construction in North America.

Currently expanding our expertise worldwide, we have completed more renewable energy construction projects across Canada than any other contractor, from solar to wind. From start to finish, we deliver a unique construction experience.

We have constructed more renewable energy construction projects across Canada than any other contractor. We have a score card of 40+ projects, 4,000+ MW, and zero commercial operation dates missed. This represents nearly 1/3 of all renewable energy opportunities in Canada.

We place the owners’ long-term best interest first by searching for cost reductions, system enhancements, and design optimizations. Borea searches for simpler, better ways to build. By doing this, our clients’ business grows and so does ours.

We control cost and schedule by using our own staff to perform the majority of our construction works. Borea has employed up to 1,000 workers on a single project.
