Northern Village of Green Lake

Aboriginal Municipality located within the Northern Administration
District in the top half of Saskatchewan. We are steeped in Metis and First Nations history. We serve a community of 500 and are a destination for fishing and hunting tourism.
Purpose
The Northern Village of Green Lake is responsible to provide potable water, recreation facilities, roads, waste management and economic development opportunities for our community members as well as protecting traditional aboriginal culture and values.
Values
Green Lake is a vibrant community that is active, growing and where opportunities are available for residents to make their life what they want it to be while respect for the environment and traditional Aboriginal life style habits are respected and encouraged. Our Water is sacred.
We want to taking the advantage of the traditional knowledge and natural resources of the region, Green Lake is a leader in alternative energy projects and vibrant non-timber products. Most of all Green Lake is a community that is proud of its Métis culture / history / traditions; striving to go forward in unity for the betterment of our people, sustaining our language, culture, natural resources and clean lake.
