Mitigokaa Development Corporation

Mitigokaa is a Canadian electricity generation developer specializing in the delivery of baseload, must run power, using biomass fuel sources in remote off-grid communities. Mitigokaa, (pronounced “Ti-go-ka”), was initially conceived in 2016 to deliver a complete sustainable and renewable energy solution for communities currently entirely reliant on diesel fuel generation. Using proven biomass boiler and Organic Rankin Cycle (ORC) generation technology, Mitigokaa can deliver base load, ‘24/7’, renewable electricity at a fraction of the current cost of diesel generated power.

The Mitigokaa principals bring over 100 years of collective experience in utility and infrastructure development and financing in thirty countries, including biomass generation, to any project. In addition, one third of Mitigokaa’s founding partners are respected First Nations leaders, allowing the company to have better insight into operating in Canada’s Northern Communities.

The Mitigokaa business model brings development capital, permanent capital, and execution expertise to each community it works with. Successful generation projects will be 100% owned by the communities Mitigokaa works with, and the benefits, (far cheaper energy, easing of pressure on community budgets, employment at the plant and from insourcing fuel, infrastructure expansion, cash flow from ownership), will continue to the community for years to come.
