ARCA Renewables

RCA Renewables Inc. is a Joint Venture formed by ABO WIND and Rocky Mountain Power in 2017. The company is dedicated to implementing renewable energy projects in Western Canada and covers all aspects of project development: land acquisition, technical planning, permits and authorizations, engineering, financing, turnkey construction, commissioning, and operational management. We mainly focus on wind and solar energy (photovoltaics), and on their combination in hybrid energy systems or off-grid solutions for remote areas. We develop greenfield projects or acquire projects at all stages of development.
Our partners benefit from our international experience of more than 20 years in the renewable energy sector, as well as from our local anchoring in Alberta. We are a flexible and dynamic company that is ready to adapt to our customers’ needs. Our well-qualified in-house engineers, project managers and commercial experts see to a highly professional, economically sound and timely execution of any project.
Purpose
At ARCA we ask the question “How do we change our electricity systems to be sustainable while maintaining system reliability and affordability.“ As a cleantech energy project developer with extensive power industry and business experience, our mission is to integrate the best available generation, storage and transmission technologies into unique solutions that achieve the goals of sustainability, reliability and affordability.
We believe that the greatest value is achieved when transmission, generation and storage technologies are combined to form integrated renewable energy solutions.

Prairie Sky Solar Energy Inc
Prairie Sky Solar Energy Inc., PSSEI, is a 10 MW photovoltaic solar generation project we are developing near the town of Morse in SW Saskatchewan. RMP is partnered with ABO Wind AG to develop PSSEI. PSSEI is located in one of the best solar regimes in Canada near a large transmission line making it an ideal site for solar development. We are dedicated to maintaining good relationships and open consultation with the land owners and the broader local community as this project continues to develop.
Currently PSSEI is bidding in to SaskPower’s 2017 solar generation procurement process.
RMP and ABO are excited to develop further wind and solar generation assets through an new joint venture development corporation called ARCA Renewables Inc.
Prairie Windfields Corporation
Prairie Windfields Corporation, PWC, is a 200 MW wind generation development near the town of Morse in SW Saskatchewan. RMP was the initial project developer and has now partnered with ABO Wind AG to develop this project. PWC has collected 7 years of very positive wind data validating it as one of the best wind development opportunities in Saskatchewan.
We have also completed initial environmental, cultural, interconnection and geotech studies all of which show that the PWC site is an ideal site to develop wind generation.
All of the land associated with this facility falls outside of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment avoidance zones for wind development. In addition, we are dedicated to maintaining good relationships and open communications with the land owners and the broader local community.
RMP continues to work with ABO on the development of PWC as part of the SaskPower wind procurement process.
