Project Description
Allteck Limited Partnership
Allteck was founded in 1982 primarily to perform overhead distribution work in BC. Since its inception, the company has become part of the Quanta services group of companies, North America’s largest provider of infrastructure services for the Electric Power and Oil & Gas Industries. Since joining Quanta in 2001, Allteck has become a full-service contractor that specializes in power line distribution, transmission, underground cable work, substations, energized services, and emergency restoration.
In 2014, Allteck created our Indigenous Advancement Department. A department that focuses on Indigenous relationships and procurement. As a bronze certified member of the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business (CCAB) we strive for continued improvement with Indigenous progression and prosperity for their communities. We actively work with more than 150 First Nation Communities and have developed flexible partnership models to meet the needs of individual First Nation governments and Economic development corporations representing their communities.
Allteck Limited Partnership Profile
About Allteck Limited Partnership
- Support and promote education, training programs, employment, and procurement opportunities with positive impacts and more career options for the future generations of Indigenous peoples and communities.
- Invest in initiatives for Indigenous economic development to facilitate increased business participation and meaningful partnerships in the electric power industry.
- Prepare our workplace with people that respect the diversity of Indigenous cultures, the importance of their heritage, and recognition that Indigenous peoples are the original and continuing stewards of their Traditional Territories.
Allteck and CUC support the development and growth of businesses that are owned or operated by First Nations or Indigenous entrepreneurs by matching opportunities to skills and resources and by ensuring that these businesses are aware of all potential contract opportunities. In areas where ongoing work exists, Allteck and CUC will explore options to enter into ongoing business contracts which provide secure longer term work to local Indigenous firms, including the opportunity to be included in a preferred vendor list.
